We all are striving for this elusive feeling of happiness. The state in which our mind stops talking and our heart is filled with juiciness and love.
We observe it in children but decide that grownups are not supposed to have it. We rationalize our lack of wellbeing and sweetness as a result of our responsibilities and maturity.
HAPPINESS IS OUR TRUE NATURE. We lost it somewhere during our childhood, however our consciousness and need can help us retrieve it.
I have encountered very few people who truly believe in their core that a state of happiness is attainable. We all experience momentary happiness, the feeling of our heart expanding, of having our eyes sparkle with joy.
But then, unconsciously, we caution ourselves not to be carried away . To remember that it's not going to last long.
We protect ourselves against yet another disappointment. But what if we realized that A SUSTAINABLE STATE OF HAPPINESS IS POSSIBLE? Life would assume a totally new dimension.
And we don't have to go anywhere, cross oceans, travel to faraway lands to get this amazing inner feeling. All we have to do is go deep within ourselves and find highway 101 to tap this sweetness.
OUR SPIRITUAL MUSCLES- CHAKRAS,- are the tools that were given to us by creation to achieve freedom and happiness. The chakras are our 101.
Our chakras are responsible for our daily wellbeing. Learning the craft of how to expand and stretch these psychic muscles is what stands between us and a SUSTAINABLE STATE OF HAPPINESS.
I call this process HAPPINESS MEDITATION. The belief that it is possible is the first step. It sounds esoteric, simplistic , new age. It is not.
It is about Learning the technique of the double breath, mastering a discipline of focusing one's attention below the naval. And above all having the NEED to stop the rollercoaster of hundreds of conflicting emotions in a span of a day.
We embark on a journey of learning how to keep our heart open while going through a hard time. This is the first step to achieve a state of constant joy.
"In the early eighties I left Israel where I grew up and settled in south of India for two years, in a spiritual community named Oroville. Oroville was a place I KNEW at that time where I wanted to live the rest of my life. A family matter forced me to go back to Israel for a few weeks, which was prolonged to nearly a year. I was still saving money to return to India, a place I thought I would evolve and grow. I lived from my suitcases, ready to depart any minute.
A telephone call from a friend in Jerusalem caught me minutes before my departure. The friend told me that he had found a meditation teacher, and he was on his way to a class. Something in me responded immediately. I had heard about Alik prior to this conversation but this time I knew I had to go.
It so happened that at this time Stuart was visiting Alik in Jerusalem. I came running. There is no other way to explain that. I managed to get into class at the last moment. Alik gave me the exercise and I joined Stuart’s class. I spent the rest of the day with them and could not leave. At that time I did not know how fortunate I was to meet two mountains of energy, whose presence would change my life forever. Stuart left the next day back to New York, and I, who still did not comprehend what was happening to me, was drawn to this energy and continued coming to classes.
These seven years in Jerusalem were very intense and incredible years. Many students came and went, each one of them coping in his unique way with the frequent tests of this hard inner work.
Stuart was in New York but he was in my heart all that time. I was able to visit him in New York for a short while. A few years later, after many changes in Jerusalem, Alik continued his journey and went back to the U. S. He later on asked me to join him. Again, I left for the unknown.
The unknown that I found made me realize that it is the state I would like to be a part of. I found the KNOWN to be so unsatisfying for me. I wanted much more. This is the essence and the most important part of Rudi’s teachings that I have adapted into my daily life. To arrive at that place I have to really surrender and let go every given minute, and make room for a higher and amazing energy that presents itself to me daily. This energy is a constant reminder that I have not arrived, pushing me on my endless Journey.

"One Sunday morning I found myself in a meditation class. I had no expectations. Many times I had explored spiritual paths only to be disappointed.
This class began differently from other meditations. I sat on a chair, my eyes were open and I was learning a double breathing exercise. When my teacher ended the meditation, he began to speak. His first words were “I am a plumber and I am here to unblock you…” As he continued, I became more and more awed by his humbleness and simple approach. Class finished and I remained on my chair. I was listening to a voice within me saying, “You are home”. And in a heartbeat my life changed.
That was 18 months ago. Since then I have been a student of Alik. How I feel now is completely different from from before that Sunday morning. I am happy. I love and am surrounded by love. I am grateful for all experiences, good, bad, and painful. Much of the garbage I had been carrying around has dissipated and become positive energy.
I know full well there is much, much, much, more to breakdown. Alik has given me the tools to do so. And his unconditional love gives me the encouragement I need to work on my inner self.
